Course Overview
Business organisations are the vehicles through which resources are transformed into value-creating outputs that impact societies and economies. Through many years of research and practice, a sound body of knowledge has emerged to support the effective administration and management of businesses. This course aims to equip all those who are new to business administration and management as a discipline with the sound conceptual and practical tools necessary to elevate and accelerate their capacities to meaningfully contribute to organisational performance. Underpinned by the core principles of management, the course explores key constructs notably, management functions, organisational structures, the central role of effective communication and the basics of business finance.
Who is this course for?
Many early-stage professionals have a general or technical educational background and yet hold or aspire to roles that require them to administer and manage human and other resources; which often puts them out of their depths. Others might need a ‘soft’ articulation into business administration and management as a pathway for personal or professional development. These are some of the categories of people that are envisaged to benefit from this course.
