Course Overview

An unanswered email can delay a decision. A presentation that fails to connect can cost you the budget, the client or the promotion—yet few professionals are taught how to communicate in a way that gets results.

Over two weeks, you learn to structure workplace messages around one clear point, turn wordy drafts into direct, action-focused writing, and use evidence to make your requests more credible. You then apply the same discipline to presentations by defining a core message, building a logical flow, and making slide and delivery choices that keep your audience engaged. You finish with a message plan, a rewritten email or memo, and a reviewed presentation structure—three practical outputs you can put to work immediately.

Delivered in Partnership with Alwin Education LTD

This TSIBA course is delivered in partnership with Alwin Education Ltd. Alwin Education is a UK based digitally native network of locally accredited higher-education institutions that focus on expanding access, strengthening quality, and aligning every programme to labour-market demand. This course is aimed at giving working professionals a practical, career-focused learning experience underpinned by rigorous academic standards.

By the end of this course, you will...

Finish with practical communication tools

Create a message plan that defines your purpose, audience, key point, supporting detail and desired action; revise a real email or memo; and develop a clear presentation structure.

Write messages that make the next step clear

Organise your message around one central point, structure it logically and remove wordy, passive or vague language so busy readers immediately understand what to do.

Build a credible and memorable case

Choose the right evidence—whether data, a practical example or a compelling reason—for your manager, colleague or client, and shape it into a story your audience will remember.

Plan presentations your audience can easily follow

Define your core message, sequence your content effectively and review your slides and delivery for readability, visual hierarchy, pacing and audience engagement.

Who is this course for?

About to be promoted, or newly promoted

A promotion, a new role or a bigger brief changes what you are judged on: how clearly you write, and how well you hold a room.

Typical job titles: team leader, project coordinator, business analyst, sales consultant, office administrator.

A specialist whose ideas stall in the room

Your technical work is strong, but explaining it to a manager, a client or a room of non-specialists is where it slows down.

Typical job titles: engineer, accountant, software developer, data analyst, quantity surveyor.

Those already writing and presenting every week

Meetings, proposals, updates and client decks are the job, and you would rather do them properly than by instinct.

Typical job titles: account manager, HR practitioner, training and development practitioner, consultant, communication coordinator.

Curriculum

Orientation module + 2 modules. Each module runs one week at 2-4 hours.

ORIENTATIONGet set up before module content begins
01Structuring Clear and Credible Business Messages

Organise a workplace message around one clear central point with support in logical order and the required action visible rather than buried. Cut unnecessary words, vague phrasing, weak verbs and overloaded sentences without losing meaning, and choose the evidence, example or rationale that makes a request credible.

Output: a communications methodology you can apply immediately.

02Designing and Delivering Impactful Presentations

Start with the change you want in your audience's understanding, attitude or action, then shape one core message around it rather than starting from slides. Organise content into a sequence people can follow — problem-solution, chronological or point-by-point — and choose evidence, examples and storytelling for what the audience needs.

Output: a refined presentation plan ready to implement.

What You Finish With

A communications methodology and a refined presentation plan you can apply immediately

Corporate Solutions

Build presenters before you need them.

Every organisation carries the cost of unclear communication without ever putting a number on it — the follow-up emails a request needs, the update nobody acts on, the deck that loses a decision. This course closes that gap in two modules, fully online, working on the messages and presentations already sitting in your team's inboxes.

Talk to Us About Cohorts

A plan you can read, not just a completion tick

Each participant produces a message plan, a revised workplace message and a self-reviewed presentation structure, plus a scenario-based mastery check in every module.

Built around a full working week

2 to 4 hours a week, fully online, across two weeks. No travel, no days out of the business, no cover to arrange.

One shared method across the team

The same message structure, the same test for whether evidence belongs, and the same slide-and-delivery review for every participant.
