Diploma in Information and Communication Technology
A three-year diploma that builds the technical and management competencies to manage ICT operations and projects, with practical skills in software development, networking, databases, systems analysis and emerging technologies.
The Diploma in Information and Communication Technology aims to produce graduates with the requisite technical and management competencies to efficiently manage ICT related operations and projects in diverse organisational contexts. The qualification aims to equip students with practical skills and knowledge in areas such as business analysis, systems analysis, software development, database management, networking, and emerging technologies, while also developing their understanding of the broader social, ethical, and legal issues related to ICT in business.

Who is the Programme For?
Whether you are coming straight from school or stepping up from a Higher Certificate, the Diploma in ICT is designed to prepare you to manage ICT operations and projects, or to create an ICT-based business of your own.
Matric leavers with a diploma pass
Have a National Senior Certificate with diploma endorsement and at least 22 points on the TSIBA Points System, including at least 40% in Mathematics or 60% in Mathematical Literacy, and 50% in English.
Higher Certificate holders moving into ICT
Hold a Higher Certificate in Information Technology, a Higher Certificate in Business Administration or an equivalent qualification, and want a three-year diploma in ICT.
Aspiring technopreneurs
Want to create or develop ICT-based businesses, with Technopreneurship, an ICT project and a 15-week industry internship in the final year.
